Traditional mozzarella sticks with a Cheese Heads® fun twist. Make ‘em look like firecrackers, and serve them up with some spicy ketchup or marinara sauce for an extra flavor explosion!

1 1/2 cups Italian-style dried breadcrumbs
1 cup Frigo® Fresh Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
Frigo® Cheese Heads® String Cheese sticks
4 large eggs, beaten
Oil, for frying
2 cups Sriracha ketchup (or any type of spicy ketchup or marinara)
In a medium bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Frigo® Fresh Grated Parmesan Cheese and salt. Set aside.
“Fray” the ends of the Frigo® Cheese Heads® String Cheese sticks by gently peeling only at one end to look like a lit firecracker.
Dip the cheese sticks in the eggs to coat them completely. Allow the excess egg to drip back into the bowl. Then, coat the sticks in the breadcrumb mixture, patting to make sure the breadcrumbs adhere to the cheese sticks. Place the cheese sticks on a baking sheet. Then, repeat dipping the cheese sticks in the egg and then the breadcrumb mixture to coat a second time. Cover and freeze them until frozen, about 2 hours and up to 2 days.
In a deep skillet, heat 2–3 inches of oil to 350°F. Working in batches, fry the cheese sticks until golden brown, about 1 minute per side, and transfer them to a paper towel–lined baking sheet.
Light them up! Dip the frayed ends into a “hot and spicy” ketchup.
